Foods to Avoid with Renal Cancer
Most cancer treatments and medications have multiple side effects. The severity of the symptoms also depends on the stage of cancer, the type of medication, and the number of cycles of chemo or radiation treatment that has been given. Though many symptoms will disappear as the person’s overall health improves, some symptoms are treated with medication and careful adherence to diet and lifestyle. Diet plays a key role in improving or worsening the symptoms of cancer. Also, a person who is recovering from renal cancer has to be careful to avoid the worsening of side effects. Here is a list of foods that you have to avoid if you have any of the following symptoms: Nausea Avoid food that has too much flavor like garlic and spices. Avoid spicy curries, fried and oily food until nausea subsides. Diarrhea Avoid raw or uncooked food like salads. Stay away from food that can cause bloating and gas, like beans, cabbage, and aerated drinks. Do not drink beverages that are either too hot or cold. Reduce high-fiber food that will increase diarrhea. Constipation Avoid gluten-rich food found in wheat, barley, rye, and flour. Limit the intake of milk and dairy once you have symptoms of constipation.
