Easy Coffee Drinks You Can Make at Home
Coffee. In one form or another America runs on it, be it hot or cold. I know I need my morning cup of java juice to complete my personal process of waking up. How do I take it you ask? Just enough coffee creamer to take the edge off and that’s it! And while that slates my personal tastes and you no doubt have your own, here are some more drink recipes for when you need a little change in your morning routine, and the great thing is that you can make these all at home:
1. Iced coffee
Now, hold on this one will be more than just adding ice!!! Start with 2 tsp. coffee grounds, 1 tsp. of sugar, 3 tbsp. warm water, 6 oz. warm milk, combine all the ingredients in a container you can seal and shake until foamy. Pour the mixture in your favorite coffee cup and enjoy!
2. Cafe latte
One of the easiest coffee variations to make all you will need is 1 and 1/3 cup of your favorite espresso coffee, you can use pods such as Starbucks Keurig cups too, and 2 cups of milk. Pour the milk into a pan over medium heat and whisk until the milk turns to foam. Brew your favorite espresso coffee and pour into 4 cups and add the milk evenly while using a spoon or something similar to hold the foam back. Add the foam to the top of the cups and enjoy! Tip: You can bring your latte to the next level with 2 tbsp. of your favorite flavored syrup!
3. Cold-brewed coffee
For all you fans of cold coffee here’s another one for you. You will need a half pound of your favorite coffee bean coarsely ground, 4 and 1/2 cups of cold water, a piece of cheesecloth and some coffee filters. Place the coffee grounds in a container and slowly pour the water over the grounds. Cover the container and steep at room temperature for 24 hours. After the steeping process is complete line a strainer with a few layers of the cheesecloth then strain the coffee into a clean pitcher. For the cleanest brew possible repeat the process using the coffee filters in the strainer. After those few easy steps you are ready to enjoy your homemade cold-brew coffee. Tip: You can store the remaining brew covered in the refrigerator.
4. S’mores frappuccino
For this cold coffee treat you will need 3/4 cup of ice, 1/2 cup of milk, 3 tbsp. marshmallow topping, 1 shot of cold espresso, 1/2 tbsp. cocoa powder, 1/2 tbsp. sugar, 1/4 cup whipped cream and 1/2 tbsp. graham cracker crumbs. You can use cocoa k cups too. Combine the ice, milk, marshmallow topping, espresso, cocoa powder and sugar in a blender until the mixture is nice and smooth. Pour the mixture into a glass and top with whipped cream and graham cracker crumbs and enjoy the awesomeness!!!
5. Pumpkin Spice Latte
We’ll finish this article with a lot of people’s autumn favorites: The Pumpkin Spice Latte. You will need 3 cups of hot milk, 4 tsp. of sugar, 1/2 tsp. of vanilla extract, 1/2 tsp. of pumpkin spice, 6 oz. brewed coffee, 3 tbsp. whipped cream and 3 pinches of pumpkin spice. Combine the hot milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and pumpkin spice in a blender and blend until frothy. Pour the mixture into 3 cups until they are about 2/3 full then garnish with whipped cream and pumpkin spice. And don’t forget to enjoy it!
